IAI Banyumas Public Relations Yoga Bagus Wicaksana said, simultaneously all pharmacists on Monday, February 3, 2020 wore uniform attributes and black ribbons. This is a symbol of IAI's rejection of the Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) Number 3 of 2020.

According to him, in one of the clauses of the PMK article, it is stated that pharmacists are included in the category of non-medical services. In article 10 paragraph 2, it is stated that non-medical services consist of laundry services, food/nutrition processing, maintenance of health facilities and equipment, information and communication, funeral handling, and other non-medical services.
"This regulation is clearly unacceptable, pharmacists are the spearhead of health services. If pharmacists are categorized as non-medical services, the impact could be worse," he said.
He added that the role of pharmacists in medical services is very important. Starting from how to use drugs, dosage and others. The pharmacist's job is to manage pharmaceutical supplies, procurement, storage, to distribution to patients.
IAI Banyumas Chairman Hafid Nasrudin revealed that drug related problems (DRP) are currently still high. This means that the role of pharmacists is still very much needed. In general, the role of pharmacists is to carry out administrative, pharmaceutical, and clinical screening.
He gave an example, someone who is given painkillers sometimes has an impact on stomach pain. This can be anticipated by pharmacists by giving recommendations for drugs and the right dosage.
"If there is any irregularity, the medication cannot be mixed, and must be communicated with the doctor. So the prescription is only a suggestion," he explained.
In relation to the PMK, his party is still coordinating with the regional administrators. IAI has also sent a letter to the Ministry of Health. If there is no response, his party is ready to hold further action.
